No other person may rely upon the report without our prior written consent.
We accept no responsibility to third parties who obtain or rely upon the report.
12. Vehicle History
(Personal Property Securities Register) Report
Where included as part of your selected inspection package, Vehicle Inspect South West will obtain and provide a Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) report using the vehicle’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
The PPSR report may include information available at the time of the search, including:
-
Whether a security interest (finance) is currently registered against the vehicle.
-
Whether the vehicle has been recorded as written off.
-
Whether the vehicle has been recorded as stolen.
-
Vehicle identification details where available.
The PPSR report is sourced from official government records and third-party data providers. Vehicle Inspect South West does not create, alter or verify the accuracy or completeness of the information contained within the report.
While we take reasonable care to ensure the correct VIN is searched, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of PPSR data, as records may change or may not have been updated at the time of the search.
Customers should carefully review the PPSR report before completing the purchase of any vehicle. Where finance or other security interests are identified, we strongly recommend obtaining written confirmation from the seller and, where appropriate, the secured party before proceeding with the purchase.
Vehicle Inspect South West accepts no liability for any loss arising from inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information contained within the PPSR report where such information originates from external government or third-party databases.
13. Cancellations
Bookings cancelled with reasonable notice will generally not incur a cancellation fee.
Where our inspector has already travelled to the inspection location or commenced the inspection, a cancellation or call-out fee may apply.
14. Refunds
Because our service involves professional time and expertise, refunds will generally not be available once an inspection has commenced.
If you believe an error has occurred, please contact us so we can review your concerns.
